at the beach.oh! oh! very nice. all right. we'd love to raise the kids andgive them some great memories of being at the shore. we've been coming to this area. i mean, for me, it's been eversince i was a little girl. steve: waretown'sa bay community,


so it's on the new jerseycoast, across the bay from long beach island. it's a family community. we're right on lagoons. you know, the lagoonsare kind of like fingers. and you'll find houses up anddown both sides of the street. it's near the action,but not in the action. christine: it'sa little bit more laid back and not as busyas long beach island.


but it's right in the middle. you know, you're 15 or 20minutes away from everything. i would say we'relooking for something that has a really nice view. something maybewith some privacy. big enough so that wecan entertain our family. i think somethingthree bedrooms, at least one and a half baths. obviously, waterfrontis a must have.


something with adeep water lagoon, perhaps, for a nice sized boat. marion: what sizeboat do you have? i don't have a boat, but that'sa problem we can certainly fix. here's where itgets interesting. what is the budget? well, $350,000would be a-- would be a good target price for us. christine: i would say i'd liketo do something less than that,


because we'll probably need someextra money to have furniture for the house as well. so we might want tosave a little as well. we saw a lot of housesthe last couple of days. it's certainly a huge decision. let's talk about what we saw. steve: i thoughtpebble beach was great. loved the open lagoon view. loved the huge bulkhead.


christine: it wasa little dated, i think, from my perspective. steve: on the flip sidethough, i mean, the price point of the house, $319,900. that certainly leavesus a lot of room in the budget to make thechanges we need to make. yeah, it's a good point. so that brings usto skippers cove. christine: i lovethe view in the back.


steve: the viewswere spectacular. the thing that concernsme about skippers cove is it's very compartmentalized. when we have family down,we'd have to break them up. that's-- it's strange,but i think doable. so now we're atbeach haven west. steve: i like thetraditional cottage feel. that was nice. i definitely would beconcerned about space.


but the sleeping areasupstairs were pretty nice. christine: the real benefit isit's majorly under our budget. steve: there's plenty of roomleft to make the house what we need it to be. and then there was manahawkin. christine: i reallylike the fact that it was newconstruction, and it has that spectacular view. i do like thefact that the house


has never been lived in before. i mean, it's really brandnew, and we could really make our own memories there. the problem with that placeis that it's over our budget. so for me, it really comesdown to the kind of space that we have for entertaining. from my perspective,the bottom line is proximity tothe bay and lagoon. those two things,you can't change.


i know. i mean, this is somethingthat we have to think about. i mean, i don't know. it was actually aharder decision then we thought it was going to be. but, you know, i thinkwe've picked a winner. marion: i'm dying to know. which one? tell me, christine.


skippers cove. marion: perfect. i can really see the kids there. it was the best choice, ithink, for us and the family. we chose skippers covebecause there was plenty of entertainment space, itwas a nice family community, and we just loved the area. the home was listedat $339,000, and we put an offer of $300,000.


and then closedright at $303,000. since we closed, boat shoppinghas not really started yet. there's a lot of furnishingwe had to do in the house. but it's definitely on theagenda in the near future.
