welcome back everybody.as you know, our ladies our developing good eating habits for life time.that's so important. yes, temptations abound.especially, when eating out or just cooking up recipes at home.but as the ladies are learning, you can still stay on track.it is just all about your choices.

healthy choices.and it's always important to ask your server what's in the food.so ladies, i have a special lunch guest for you this afternoon.elice donahue, the ceo of south beach diet. hi!hi! so nice to meet you!you too! thank you for having me.i don't know if you know this, but even though i live a healthy lifestyle,i've been doing this transformation right along side with you.and i'm happy to report, i've lost 15 lbs and two pants sizes!wow!


that's awesome.so, how has the weight loss changed you? the biggest change that i've seen is thati feel like i have a lot more energy. i have that skip in my step.and i think it's because i lost 15 lbs. we can definitely relate with that.right. (laughs)overall, i just feel healthier. and having the smaller portion sizes, youdon't feel so weighed down. and today, while we are eating, we can takea look at the menu and make some healthy choices today.great! i'm excited.good afternoon ladies.


hi mitchell.thanks for joing us. thank you, my pleasure.your menu looks great. we've been looking it over and we have a coupleof questions. so, on the rock shrimp salsa.how is that prepared? it's a sauteed rock shrimp.we use olive oil. no seasonings.and it's with our house made pica de gallo. it's chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro andlime juice. and is there bread with that?yes. there is bread. it's toasted bread points.so, the shrimp part is perfect.


that's what we are going to order.but instead of the bread, can you slice up some cucumbers and we'lluse that to get the dip instead of the bread. absolutely, we can do that for you.then, the other thing that i always look at is,i look for soup. because the soup is going to keep us feelingfuller. so, a question,on your seafood soup, is that broth based or cream based?it is a tomato base. ok, perfect!so, when we here tomato base, we know that's a good thing.so, we can go ahead and order that and it's


packed with fish.just what we need. so, we'll take the rock shrimp for the tableand then we'll each have some seafood soup. so elice, i see that you are really on it.great job! (laughs)thank you! you know, it's tough, i very busy.i travel a lot. i'm usually running airport to airport.meeting to meeting. but that's no excuse.there's is always a way to eat in a healthy way.really what i have found during this whole time that we've been doing the transformation,is the number one thing we have to remember.


is that we have to prioritize ourselves.it's easy for us to fall into the trap of thinking that everything is more important.our husband needs us. our kids need us.a colleague at work needs us. our parents need us.that's all great. but to be the best that we can be for them,we have to prioritize ourself. so, that's what we are going to do todayby making good healthy choices. (music)the appetizers were good. the soup was delicious.so, now let's pull the menu back out and take a look at what else we want to have.i like to always look at a salad.


so, i see here the spa salad.that looks good. greens with berries.excellent. candy pecans.ok, we can't have those. let's take those off.wasted calories. we don't need them.cheese and vinaigrette, perfect. now, if you want just a salad for lunch,add chicken to it and that would be a perfect way to get some protein on there.oh i see something really great here. salmon.salmon is always a good choice because it is high in protein and the omega 3 fatty.great.


and this has an added bonus with it.quinoa. quinoa is a great source of protein.you've had that before? yes.okay. that's a good choice.now, another one here, if you are a beef person. skirt steak.excellent. i see it comes with french fries, so we haveto x out the french fries. but look it has beans with it.perfect. (music)let's take a pledge. let's make a decision that we're going totake 5 minutes every morning and thank ourselves


for being as great as we are.think about the day before, something great that happened and say"wow, i'm great." let's do it.so, ladies, like we say at south beach diet, let's love the foods we eat and eat the foodswe love. cheers!cheers!
